I have a confession to make, I’m a bit of a tech geek and I love software for business owners. I have tried lots and lots of technology over the years and more recently apps.
This has really helped me to create RTS Financial Planning and deliver a fantastic financial planning proposition to clients at a fair price.
I have been able to build up a large list of software and apps that I really rate and thought I would take this opportunity to share a sample with you. If you’re a business owner or thinking of starting a business I think you will find at least one of these really useful.

#1 G Suite

Description: Google apps including email, calendar, file storage and so much more. Very low cost and much easier to set up and maintain compared to Microsoft. No need for an IT company if you are a smaller business. Allows you to work anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection. Google also integrates so well with so many other software and apps.

Description: Online booking system that allows you to customise a web page that links directly to Outlook, Google and iCloud calendars. You can setup automated email and text reminders. Clients can book their own meeting and everything else is automated.
#3 RingCentral

Description: Online phone system, no need for traditional handsets and BT. You can set up a local UK number and make calls from the mobile app or via your computer. Very low cost.
#4 Evernote

Description: Note taking app that works on computers, tablets and smartphones. You can type notes, draw using a stylus and record voice. Has some great indexing and search functionality and all stored in the cloud. You can even set up templates.

Description: Electronic signatures. Clients can sign via their computer, tablet or smartphone.
